A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a centralized charitable account. It allows charitably inclined individuals, families, and businesses to make tax-deductible charitable donations of cash, publicly-traded stock, and, in some cases, certain illiquid assets, to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program.

A sponsoring organization is a 501(c)(3) public charity that sponsors a DAF program.

The Friends of the Marblehead Public Schools President Aileen Sheehan and Vice President Ann Mizner McKay were pleased to award this $50,000 matching grant to Muffy Paquette of the Marblehead High School All Sports Boosters to transform the existing Marblehead High School weight room into a Fitness Center for all.

For more than 25 years, FMPS has donated almost 2 million dollars to fund programs that enrich and enhance the education of all Marblehead public school students, including 20 new grants for 2018-19.
